Posting with PowerPost A&A (version 11B)
Binaries4all QuickJumpIn this tutorial we will post our ‘Freeware collection’ using PowerPost. We will also make a NZB file to make life a lot easier for all those leechers that will enjoy our hard work.
Important:
When you download from Usenet binary newsgroups, you will notice that there are also many files which are copyrighted. Downloading or distributing these files is prohibited by law!
This site isn’t meant to promote distributing this material, it’s only meant to explain how to use binary newsgroups, Usenet and programs. You won’t find any links to movies, music, cracks and serial numbers here; You’re in the wrong place for that, so don’t ask for it either!
This site is only for explaining everything about this terrific medium.
This site is in no way liable or responsible for the actions of its visitors. There are a lot of different versions of PowerPost because the original author has released his code to the public for general use. So, many different people have been working on updating and improving this original code. In this tutorial we are focusing on the Assert & Alain version, PowerPost A&A 11B. At the moment, it’s the best variant and most widely used for Usenet postings.
The most recent version can be found at http://www.powerpost.cjb.net (link will open a new window).

Some remarks before we start :
- Every Usenet newsgroup has its own subject, so post files in the right group. This means that you may only post files into Usenet newsgroups with the word binaries in its title. Furthermore: never post music in a group with movies in the title, for example.
- Always post a NFO file, so people can see what you are posting.
- Always create and post PAR2 files so people can use them to recover incomplete files.
- Always post a NZB file, to make downloading easier. Creating a NZB file is explained in this tutorial.
